Scott, Callie and I arrived at the Baid's house the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We had a pretty uneventful drive on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and upon arriving at the house, were greeted by Ish (13) and Simran (9).
While we were both ready for some awesome curry, we had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner the following day. The above picture is cooking for Thanksgiving.

Here, Callie and Blossom (their yorkie-poo) are getting closer while still maintaining a fair distance from one another. Callie, fifty pounds heavier than Blossom, wanted only to be friends and play. Blossom wanted to make sure that everyone, especially Callie, knew that this was her house and her family. They did run around the yard and play together as the weekend progressed. Callie would just forget how big she was and would be a little bit rough.

Soo-chef Scott is baking pie with his head-chef, Simran. Scott was also Soo-chef to Ish when Ish had to bake a different pie.

The proud moment: The turkey goes in!

Callie is well behaved when she knows that there are treats to be had! Who do you think weighs more? Callie or Simran?

We played a ton of games on the Wii. Thanks to the Miller's visit last December, we got to get "Old School" with Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 and 3. Can you believe you can download them directly onto the game!
Saturday was The Ultimate Gingerbread House Extravaganza! We split into teams (girls v. boys) and made a gingerbread house. Then we judged them. Here are the teams with their gingerbread houses.

That night we went to a Moroccon resturant called Casablanca. It was sooooo yummy. We also got to eat with our hands. Here the waiter is washing our hands with rose water.

Ajit is cutting a rug with a belly dancer.

Here we are with one of the courses (a yummy pastry filled with nutmeats and spices and wrapped in philo dough.

It was such a fun and relaxing trip! We enjoyed sleeping, playing in the backyard with the kids and the dogs, playing the wii and watching movies, cooking, enjoying movies and company. It was such a blessing to be with such good friends! Praise God for an amazing Thanksgiving!
