We call it African Family Dinner because Qampicha lived with us, Sherif lived with the Glors and Paul lived with the Hoggs when they first came to Trinity. We would all have dinner together as a 'family'. So the tradition stuck. Israel just moved in and is their new roommate, so he is now part of the family too!
