Special Night at Seeds of Hope

Seeds of Hope is now a Parish! Before diocesan council, they were a "mission fellowship," and during council, they were voted a Parish (Church). To celebrate that, the priest of the "mother church," Shepherd's Heart, came to preach and worship.

Shepherd's Heart is a church that helps the homeless and struggling of Pittsburgh. http://shepheart.com/luke/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5&Itemid=27 This link will give you info about Shepherd's Heart.

The priest of Shepherd's Heart, Fr. Mike, gave an awesome sermon. Then Fr. John Paul, the priest of Seeds of Hope, called Scott and I, as well as another couple who is feeling called to be church planters. The four of us went up to the altar rail, and we knelt to pray.

Fr. Mike began praying, and he prophesied that God already had a "land and a people" for the church plant that Scott and I are called to. He prophesied that we are here for a time of training. He even asked Scott if there was a land and people that's been on our hearts, and yes there has. What an affirmation from our Lord for the work He has for us!

There were many prayers, and prophesy over the other couple; than Fr. Mike's wife, Tina, prayed for the wives. It was wonderful, and the presence of the Lord was definitely in His Sanctuary.

Praise be to God!
